No Name

Well I've been told it is common to get published without a name here, and so it has happened to me too. I promise though- here is another photo of mine taken yesterday of Aung San Suu Kyi, Nobel Peace Prize Winner on a visit to a museum just outside of Kathmandu.

  2. As a photographer who was once in your exact situation, I think it's unprofessional of Kantipur to use your photos without giving you any credit. Especially since they're getting your work for free. It may take some courage on your part, but I think it's worth letting the photo editor know that you should be credited, every time. It's the least they can do, and it's easy for them to do it. For the Nepali language editions, you should figure out a way to spell your name, and hold them to it. That photo you took of Aung San Suu Kyi is very valuable to them, and I'm sure they will republish it many times. Everyone should know that you are the one who made it happen. (And congratulations, by the way. It's a nice action portrait.)

  3. Thank you! Yes, I was sure to mention it in my next email. I did find it quite funny that in that one photo in particular it wasn't published. I'll be bringing it up at the office tomorrow... you're completely correct in that it is the least they can do.
